2. Our Philosophy on Data
At DYVE, we are Human Centred. Technology is simply a facilitator to connect you In Real Life (IRL). We collect only what is strictly necessary to foster communities and manage experiences. We do not sell your personal data to third-party ad brokers to build targeted advertising models.
3. Data We Collect
Depending on your interactions within the DYVE ecosystem, we may process:
- Identity Data: Name, username, profile picture, and authentication credentials.
- Event & Location Data: To facilitate the "Discover" functionality, we process approximate location data (if permitted by your device) and your interaction history with IRL events.
- Community Data: Friend connections, group chat interactions, and RSVPs to provide the core social hub experience.
- Technical Data: IP address, device type, crash logs, and usage statistics necessary to ensure app stability and security.
4. Legal Bases (GDPR)
We process your data under the following legal frameworks:
- Art. 6(1)(b): Fulfillment of our contract (e.g., providing the app functionality).
- Art. 6(1)(a): Your explicit consent (e.g., for accessing your precise location or contact book).
- Art. 6(1)(f): Legitimate interests (e.g., securing the platform against abuse).
5. Storage and Retention
Personal data is retained only as long as you maintain an active DYVE account or as necessary to fulfill legal obligations. Should you choose to delete your account, your data will be scrubbed from active production within 30 days.
6. Data Sharing
We employ strict data isolation. Profiles and RSVPs are visible to other users according to your privacy settings. We share technical data only with trusted infrastructure providers (e.g., cloud hosting) bound by strict DPA (Data Processing Agreements).

You have absolute control over your digital footprint. You possess the right to:
- Access the data we hold (Art. 15)
- Rectify inaccuracies (Art. 16)
