505 (Live) is a musical duo composed of Mattia Prete and Daniel Calvi, based in a studio in East Berlin. Prete's background in electronic music and techno complements Calvi's experience as a musician and composer for contemporary dance and visual media. Calvi has also collaborated with trumpeter Nils Petter Molvaer and performed internationally as part of the Chat Noir project. Their combined influences lead 505 (Live) to explore a range of genres including jazz, electronic music, techno, ambient, and hip-hop. The duo occasionally performs as an ensemble, featuring collaborations with other musicians such as saxophonist Leonie Freudenberger.
