Adam X

Adam X began his music career in 1990 in Brooklyn, New York City, quickly establishing himself as a DJ within the global underground techno scene. He co-founded Groove Records with his brother Frankie Bones, an early American outlet for electronic music focused on techno, and contributed to organizing New York City's initial techno events, including the Storm Rave warehouse parties that started in 1991. In 1995, he founded the Sonic Groove label, which has released over a hundred titles featuring EBM and industrial artists alongside contemporary techno producers. Adam X is credited with fostering the rise of acid techno and for his role in establishing industrial and EBM techno crossover genres, known for an uncompromising approach in his DJ sets and live performances across various projects such as Traversable Wormhole and AX&P. His productions have appeared on his own imprint and other influential labels like Wax Trax!, Direct Drive, and Peacefrog. He has received track support from artists such as Ferry Corsten and Bryan Kearney and has been supported by artists like Matt Hardwick and Simon Patterson. Adam X has also worked for Monster Tunes and contributed guest mixes to Galaxy FM and Ministry of Sound. He resides in Berlin, Germany, continuing his contributions to electronic music through his label operations and performances.
