Afshin

Afshin is a DJ and producer recognized for his influence on the House music scene in Paris. For nearly three decades, he has contributed to establishing Paris as a significant center for House music. Afshin is the founder of Djoon, a club established in 2003, which has hosted numerous notable artists and provided a platform for both established and emerging talent. His sound is described as a reflection of Paris's urban, cultural, and social environment, emphasizing unity and a pursuit of spiritual origins in music. As a DJ, Afshin is known for his ability to craft sets that connect the origins of House music in New York, Detroit, and Chicago with sounds from South Africa and other global influences. He also curates a series at Djoon called "My Grooves," inviting various DJs to share diverse musical expressions. As a producer, Afshin has created the "My Grooves Edits" series and released music on labels such as GAMM and MoBlack. In 2013, he launched his own label, The Djoon Experience, which has released compilations and EPs featuring a range of artists within the spiritual House scene.
