Alírio
Alírio began her career as a DJ in 2019 in Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, Brazil, where she led the BAILE034 collective and organized events promoting ballroom culture. In 2021, she relocated to São Paulo and became recognized for her energetic DJ sets, often characterized as "Brazilian cuntcore." Her musical approach explores femininity through complex beats, incorporates various genres, and emphasizes sounds from dissident artists, particularly those from Latin America. Beginning in 2022, Alírio started producing mashups and bootlegs, some of which became prominent in clubs. She has collaborated with artists such as Guza and contributed to remix albums, including one marking two decades of a Brazilian band's career, with releases on both national and international labels. Alírio is a co-founder of Tandera Records, a multidisciplinary label that publishes music, mixes, and visual art. She holds residencies at several underground parties in São Paulo and has performed at various notable clubs and events across Brazil, Argentina, and Berlin.
