Amanda Mussi

Amanda Mussi is a DJ, producer, curator, and label and agency head whose work spans techno and house music. Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, and with roots in Asunción, Paraguay, she is recognized for her contributions to the queer underground music scene in São Paulo, where she maintained a monthly party and holds residencies at events like Mamba Negra and Dando. Mussi has performed globally alongside artists such as Jeff Mills, Marcel Dettmann, Ben Klock, and Ellen Alien, and has made numerous appearances at international events including Boiler Room, DGTL, and Berghain, where she was one of the first Brazilian female DJs to play the main floor. Her musical releases have appeared on labels such as LPZ Records, Renato Cohen’s Massa Records, The Lady Machine/Decka's Unterwegs, PG Tune, and Planet X. She also runs Macro Hits, a label focused on Latin American dance music talent, and the .alt bookings agency, which facilitates cultural exchanges within South America’s electronic music scene. Mussi's sets are characterized by their deep, driving, dubby, and hypnotic techno, often extending into rolling house, incorporating tribalistic percussion, layered vocals, and cinematic soundscapes. She is based between Berlin, São Paulo, and Asunción, maintaining strong connections with local scenes in each location, and frequently performs in cities like Amsterdam and New York, while also touring extensively across Europe and Asia.
