An On Bast

An On Bast is the artistic name of Anna Suda, an electronic music producer and composer from Wrocław, Poland. Her live performances are largely improvised, featuring hardware instruments, and blend elements of melodic techno, experimental music, and ambient genres. An On Bast's career began in 2006 with her debut album and her selection for the Red Bull Music Academy in Melbourne. She is recognized for her research into high-powered sounds and textures, which underpins her live electronic and techno groove. Her performances often involve seamless transitions between modular synthesizers, drum machines, and effects units. An On Bast has performed at festivals such as Sonar, Fusion, and Opener, and in clubs including Berlin's Watergate and Shanghai's Elevator. She has released multiple EPs and seven solo albums, including "Neuroplastic Brain Fitness" on her own Ghost Kitchen label, and her music has been released by labels internationally. Beyond electronic music, An On Bast reinterprets classical works, creates sound designs, and composes music for films, installations, and modern dance. She also conducts workshops on electronic music production, modular synthesis, and Ableton Live.
